Lunar Eclipse

After hearing that my friends crawled out of bed at 3 am and drove to the Yosemite High Country, I sort of chuckled and decided to share my Lunar story.
Crawled out of bed at 5 am, threw clothes on over my PJ's, grabbed my gear and drove 2 miles down Summit Rd. and parked. Very dark and no lights from the valley to deal with.

Jim's Quilt

Pieced together by Donna Erickson.

Sunset in the Sierra

Traveling to Portola to visit my friends Donna and Paul is always an adventure and pleasure. This trip was really special. Most of my friends know that husband Jim passed away this pass August after a long illness. So I collected all of his tee shirts that I had given him from my many travels and gave them to Donna who put them together on a quilt. I came to pick it up, upon seeing it the tears came! Thank you Donna!
To make the trip even more spectacular that day was the beautiful sunset.
